Description

All vertebrate animals intended to be used for research, teaching or testing purposes at Iowa State University, including livestock must receive approvals from IACUC (an approved protocol for teaching, testing or research), as well as written approval for the acquisition of animals by the facility that will house animals. When utilizing animals for research that are not owned by Iowa State University, please contact Procurement Services.

Animals cannot be procured with a P-Card. A purchase order must be issued.

Do you have a log number from IACUC?

Create a non-catalog requisition in Workday with any accompanying information about the requested purchase to Procurement Services (i.e. order form, quote, email from supplier, etc.). If you need assistance creating a non-catalog requisition in Workday, email the information to finance_delivery@iastate.edu.
